Thousands of older New Yorkers would be alone and hungry without Citymeals and our team of dedicated volunteers. Meal recipients look forward to our knock on the door, knowing a meal and a warm greeting await them.
There are many ways to get involved, from packing and delivering meals to making friendly phone calls and handmade cards. Our network of caring individual, corporate and community volunteers ensures older New Yorkers in need receive a continuous lifeline of nourishing meals and companionship.
Last year, nearly 18,000 volunteers gave over 25,000 hours of their time to Citymeals’ mission.
