New members of the Citymeals on Wheels Board of Directors

Our New Board Members

Citymeals on Wheels has set an ambitious goal for our ourselves: to end hunger among older New Yorkers by 2040. It’s a major undertaking and one we believe we can accomplish — but not without help. In that spirit, as the new fiscal year begins, we’re happy to welcome new members to our Board of Directors: Carlos Arrizurieta, Andrew Friedman, Nicole Lockett, Danielle Taubman and Marla Willner.

Carlos Arrizurieta is the president of the Northeast Region for Wealth Management at the Northern Trust Company. Northern Trust has been a longtime supporter of Citymeals.

Andrew Friedman is an author and host of the podcast Andrew Talks to Chefs. He’s made a career of interviewing chefs and restaurateurs, like fellow board members Alex Guarnaschelli and Charlie Palmer. His latest book, The Dish: The Lives and Labor Behind One Plate of Food, tells the story of all the people whose work it takes to make a single dish.

The managing director of development at Genesis Companies, a real estate development firm focused on healthcare, Nicole Lockett draws on over 25 years of industry acumen in both the public and private sectors. She has been recognized by GlobeSt as a “Healthcare and Senior Housing Influencer,” giving her unique insight into aging in New York City.

Danielle Taubman is a philanthropist who has worked tirelessly on behalf of arts education and human services organizations throughout New York City. She has served on the Board of the New York City Ballet for many years.

A lifelong New Yorker, Marla Willner is the executive vice president and head of Commercial Credit Management and Strategic Initiatives at TD Bank, another long-time supporter of Citymeals. Marla also sits on the Board of the TD Charitable Foundation.

Each of our new board members is ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. We are grateful to them for the dedication they’ve already shown to Citymeals’ mission and the thousands of older New Yorkers we currently serve.
