Meet Anne
Anne fled the Holocaust in Austria as a young child, and in her twenties, she came to New York — where she devoted her time to working with elderly members of New York’s Jewish community. Anne was even honored by the Mayor of New York for her outstanding contributions. In her apartment, she has a trove of black and white photos on display, depicting cherished friends from around the world, symbols of the lives she touched with her warmth and sense of humor.
Life has changed dramatically for Anne over the last decade. She is no longer able to travel or take care of anyone else. Today, she worries about her fading eyesight. Anne is just one of the notable older New Yorkers Citymeals serves, thanks to your support.
